HOW DO I KNOW IF TELEHEALTH IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We offer a 15-minute free consultation for this very reason! The physical therapist will ask you a few short questions to determine if telehealth is right for you or if you should be seen face to face by a medical provider.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?
Currently, most health insurance companies are not covering telehealth services for physical therapy (the VA is an exception). That is likely to change soon! Until then, all services must be paid for upfront. Upon request, we can provide an out of network invoice for you to present to your insurance company.
TECHNOLOGY SCARES ME! IS A TELEHEALTH SESSION COMPLICATED?
It scares us too! Luckily, someone else has figured out how to make it easy. For live video sessions, you will need access to a device such as a smartphone or a computer that has a camera. From there you will just need to click on a link that will be sent to you via email and Viola..we will be connected! We can also walk you through it over the phone. There is always an option for an audio phone-only session.
CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?
It's possible! For the quickest response send a text message to 845-598-1255 and we will try our hardest to accommodate your schedule.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FROM MY DOCTOR?
Although we always recommend letting your doctor know you are receiving physical therapy services, most states do not require a prescription to get started. Regulations vary so shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will fill you in!
WILL MY HEALTH INFORMATION REMAIN PRIVATE?
Absolutely! As health care providers, we are obligated to follow HIPPA guidelines. The platform for video conferencing (www.phzio.com) and the Gmail services (gsuite.google.com) are both HIPPA compliant.
